Guest Rooms/Guest Services: Each of the Marriott's 355 deluxe guest rooms include an iron/ironing board and hair dryer, individual climate control, telephones with dataport and voice mail, a color TV, AM/FM alarm clock radio, cable movie channels and in-room pay movies. Guest services include valet service, guest laundry, gift shop, beauty & barber shop, baby-sitting, free parking, boutiques, bank, post office, travel agency and marina.
Recreation: Two 18-hole PGA championship golf courses; 12 Har-Tru tennis courts (4 lighted); tennis and golf pro shops; indoor and outdoor pools; jogging trails; whirlpool; two workout rooms; basketball court; Village Explorers Kids Camp; Revi electric bikes; bicycles; massage; game room; sauna and aquaerobics. The Lagoon Legend 18-hole championship monster-of-a-course has been called the "second most challenging course in the United States" by the USGA, and the "third best resort course in Florida" by Golf Digest. For 18 holes of more forgiving play, the Club Meadows course entices golfers of all levels with masterfully crafted links and country club contours. The Marriotts tennis facility, comprised of 12 Har-Tru courts, places them in the "top 25 resorts in the U.S." as ranked by both Tennis Illustrated and Racquet magazines.
Beach Activities: Private beach; Windsurfers and Wave Runners; snorkeling and scuba diving; sailing; beach volleyball; deep-sea sportfishing; bay fishing; dolphin encounters.
Dining Options: BayView Restaurant; Stormys Grille; Lobby Bar; Teddys Back Bay Beach Club; Dokkers Pub; Bay Breeze Pool Bar; and Club 19.
Airline: With more than 1,000 nonstop airline seats traveling to and from Panama City daily, making your travel arrangements has never been easier. Atlantic Southeast Airlines offers convenient nonstop jet service through Atlanta into the Panama City/Bay County Airport. Northwest provides continuous nonstop air service through Memphis. And US Airways offers round-trip service from Tampa and Orlando into Panama City. Bay Point Resort Village is less than six hours by car from Atlanta, and only seven hours from Orlando.
Ground: Marriott Bay Point Resort Village provides airport transportation services (currently at a cost of $24 per person round trip including tax). Advance reservations are recommended through the Bellstand (phone: 850/234-3307) at least 24 hours prior to arrival or departure. A transportation representative greets guests in the Baggage Claim Area.
Workshop speakers received a Marriott Bay Point Resort Reservation Request envelope with the speaker confirmation letter. If you are unable to locate your card, you may phone reservations at 800/874-7105.
Reservations must be received by January 2, 1999 in order to receive the special guest room rate of $119 single/double occupancy (each additional person $20).

A Special Issue of Solid State Electronics will feature the Workshop on Wide Bandgap Bipolar Devices. A manuscript of your paper is to be provided to Dr. April Brown by March 1, 1999.
Contributed papers are nominally limited to 6 journal pages in length, corresponding to 15 pages of typed manuscript plus 6 figures, assuming the author uses 12 pt double-spaced, justified text within a typed area of 6.5 x 9.5 inches. There are no page charges for Solid-State Electronics, although authors may purchase reprints of their article. This information will be sent with the proofs mailed to authors prior to publication. For more detailed manuscript preparation instructions, authors may consult the "Notes for Contributors" in the back of each issue.
