Indium ran out due to controller failure - the battery was replaced in the Eurotherm

The Be controller was blinking, and could not raise temperature using the "up" key. It was replaced with one from the SSMBE.

The Mg controller was suspect due to uncontrolled ramps of Mg temperature to over 500C. It was replaced with one from the SSMBE. The furnace originally had a short to ground. The furnace now does not show a short. The Mg is about 80% evaporated away and the crucible has a brownish tint.

Water flow after opening was very poor - less than 0.5gpm at 50psi. Attempts to remove the clog using a stiff wire up through the drain, and reversing the supply and return lines did not clear the clog. Line-away (about a quart) was put into the water supply (except through the RF source which was kept under N2 purge). It only took about 5 minutes to clear the clog and clear the flow meters. Flow was 0.5gpm at 20psi. The water return was switched paralleled to the drain to dilute the lime-away.

The RHEED gun filament was replaced. The gun had a leak around the filament flange after reassembly. The leak was cured by tightening a very small amount on the hex head bolts around the conflat flange. The RHEED screen had a very mildsemi-transparent haze of metal over about half its area. The RHEED screen was replaced with one from storage which looked like it had been recently recoated. The spot is much brighter on the new screen.

The turbo oil level on each side is good - exactly 1/2 way the sight glass when the pump is off.

The Danielson pump was installed a few weeks ago. It pumps the main chamber without overheating like the old pump did.

A new OM2 indicating purifier was installed and purged for 2 hours. The old one had many specks, but was not yet brown. It became brown from the ends in towards the middle when it was removed. The new filter is black and showed just 2-3 specks after installation.
